Dr Anthony Soroka

Overview

Anthony joined the ASTUTE project team at Cardiff Business School in January 2013 as a Senior Project Officer with expertise in manufacturing simulation, manufacturing process improvement, industrial informatics, data mining, product data management, ERP systems and intelligent systems.

Prior to his involvement in ASTUTE he has worked on industrially focused research projects in the areas of advanced sustainable manufacturing, smart systems, and manufacturing systems engineering. These projects involved working with companies, in a variety of manufacturing sectors, including Ford, Schneider Electric, Fiat, HP, and Daimler.

Within ASTUTE his interests and activities have also included logistics and supply chain operations and management, supply chain resilience, process modelling, remanufacturing and recycling, servitisation, and operational excellence. Collaborating with companies in the aerospace and defence, automotive, bio-medical, food and beverages, and materials sectors.

In addition to this Anthony is currently involved in the work of two EPSRC funded Re-distributed Manufacturing Networks (RDM|RSC and RECODE).
