Overview
My research focusses on the development of advanced numerical methods for the simulation of engineering systems.
Key competences:
- Advanced numerical methods in computational engineering: XFEM, CutFEM, Mortar approaches and other modern discretisation methods for partial differential equations;
- Complexity reduction: multiscale numerical methods, homogenisation of heterogeneous media, Model Order Reduction for time-dependent, parametrised/stochastic systems of partial differential equations;
- Data assimilation and online model learning;
- Computational modelling for structural reliability: damage & fracture, micromechanics of composites.
- Computational modelling for advanced manufacturing processes: laser ablation, additive layer manufacturing
