Overview
I am a research fellow at the Centre for Trials Research (CTR) working across both the infection, inflammation and immunity division, and oncology.
My PhD and masters in biochemistry provides me with a background and interest in the science behind the studies we run here at the CTR. My research aims are to develop and improving our understanding of the role of the immune system and infection in oncology including;
- Infection and its role in cancer development
- Infection in cancer care
- Inflammation and its role in cancer development
- Immune-oncology
My research interests have also more recently expanded to focus on COVID-19 prevention and protection. I am also deputy lead within infection control and anti-microbial stewardship working with my colleagues to develop studies within this theme.
