Overview

James is a lecturer within the Management, Employment and Organisation subject group at Cardiff Business School.

James completed his PhD at Cardiff University in 2019. His thesis looked at workplace wellbeing programmes in terms of the power relations between employer and employee, considering what it means to be sick or healthy within the workplace. Since completing his thesis James has been working on a number of publications relating to his research.

James’ research interests include critical management and organisation studies, particularly regarding issues such as power and identity in the workplace. He has recently started to pursue an interest in alternative organisation.

He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
