Overview
Dr Bin Guo is a research associate at Hydro-environmental Research Center, conducting research within the field of marine renewable energy, particularly numerical and experimental modelling of renewable energy schemes, and supporting engagement with Welsh Enterprises.
His research activity is dedicated to developing numerical models for tidal energy schemes, especially Tidal Range Schemes (TRSs), and the subsequent hydrodynamics and hydro-environmental impacts of tidal energy projects.
He obtained his MEng degree in hydraulics and structural Engineering from Northwest A&F University of China in 2016, and achieved his PhD from Cardiff University in early 2022. Prior to his current position, he was a postdoctoral research officer at Ocean Science School, Bangor University.
