Overview
Dr. Bo Guan obtained his Ph.D. in Business Management (specialising in Accounting and Finance) in 2021 and is currently working as a research associate at Cardiff Business School. Prior to this, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours classification. He successfully completed his MSc in Accounting and Finance - Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He then completed MSc Social Science Research Methods and embarked on his Ph.D. journey at Cardiff Business School. He obtained an associate fellowship status under the UK Higher Education Academy in 2019.
Bo has successfully published in top-rated peer-reviewed journals such as the Annals of Tourism Research (ABS 4/ ABDC A*/ IF = 9.011 in 2020). Bo has reviewed for peer-reviewed journals such as the Global Finance Journal, Finance Research Letters and his published paper was a top-cited paper in the Journal of Forecasting in 2020/2021.
He has presented his works at various internal and external organized conferences such as at International Forecasting Symposium, and at Quarterly Forecasting Forum.
His research interest includes financial time series modeling and forecasting, volatility spillover, corporate financing, policy evaluation, price discovery, textual analysis, behavioral finance, corporate governance, etc.
