Overview
I am an engineer researching integrated energy systems.
The commitment to reach net-zero carbon emissions requires major changes to our energy supply systems. My current research looks at how district heating and cooling networks could help decarbonise our energy use, by reducing waste and providing demand-side flexibility to the electricity system. This is part of an EPSRC funded project, for which I'm responsible for developing techno-economic appraisals of innovative network designs.
I have over four years experience studying the modelling, optimisation and control of integrated multi-energy systems, as well as industrial experience working as a process design engineer. My academic background spans both chemical and electrical engineering.
