Overview

I am researcher working in palliative care as well as bereavement-related research, with a background in psychology and cognitive neuroscience. My current research interests include the grief experiences and bereavement support needs of people bereaved during the Covid-19 pandemic, exercise oncology and physical activity after a brain tumour diagnosis as well as core outcome set development and palliative care service evaluation.

My current research interests include the long-term grief experiences and bereavement support needs of people bereaved during the Covid-19 pandemic, core outcome set development and palliative care service evaluation as well as physical activity in brain tumour patients.

Current research projects:

  • BeCovid: Long-term grief experiences and support needs of people bereaved during the Covid-19 pandemic. Longitudinal mixed-methods study with four time-points. (2020 - present).
  • Pall Care CODE /Value in Health - A Palliative Care Perspective: Development of a Core Outcome Set for the evaluation of the effectiveness of palliative care services in Wales (‘what to measure’) and identification of suitable tools to capture these core outcomes via a mapping exercise and gap analysis of existing toolkits (‘how to measure’). (2022 to present)
