Dr Luciana Zorzoli

Overview

Luciana is Lecturer in Employment Relations and HRM at the Management, Employment and Organisation Section at Cardiff Business School.

She completed her PhD in Social Sciences in 2016 (University of Buenos Aires) and a postdoctoral appointment founded by the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council in 2018. Her research in Global South employment relations focuses on the strategies labour built (and is building) to deal with conditions and changes in the world of work. In close connection, she is interested in the International Labour Organization (ILO) role and the challenges faced by the ILO in the Global South. 

She won funds from the Fulbright Commission (US) to work as a Fulbright Fellow at the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University (New York) and other small research funds from UCL, the ILO and the MERCOSUR research exchange program.  

She recently held academic visiting positions at the Institute of Advanced Studies and SOAS (University of London), the University of Valparaíso Business School (Chile), the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the Centro de Innovación de los Trabajadores CONICET/UMET (Argentina).

Before joining Cardiff, Luciana was an Affiliate Lecturer at the Department of International Development at King's College London.
