Helen Langford

Overview

I joined Cardiff University in November 2019 as an occupational therapy lecturer. After completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy I worked for Cygnet Healthcare and specialised in female mental health. Since joining the team at Cardiff University I have been part of the practice education team responsible for organising practice placements. Having jointly led the Practice Education Team for much of 2022 I will be transitioning into the role of Deputy Programme Manager for the BSc Occupational Therapy in September 2022. I am soon to complete my MSc in Occupation and Health. My dissertation is a qualitative study exploring students’ experiences of the online learning element of blended learning during the pandemic. I am hopeful that the findings of this research will inform future planning and delivery on the occupational therapy programme.
