Overview
I completed my BA in English Literature and English Language (2012-2015) and my MA in English Litertature (2015-2016) at Cardiff University. I began my PhD at Cardiff University in 2017 and currently study part-time. My research interests include twentieth century women's writing, surrealism, fashion, maternity, and psychoanalysis.

My main research focus is Anaïs Nin and her relationship with the art movement Surrealism.
Additional Interests include: Twentieth century women's writing; Surrealism; Modernism; Feminist studies; and Gender studies.

Thesis
'Proceed from the Dream Outwards': Surrealism in the work of Anaïs Nin
My thesis examines the underexplored relationship between Nin’s writings and surrealism, placing the writer in conversation with Surrealist women artists through her experimentation with and redeployment of surrealist aesthetics and concerns. My research explores the intersections between Nin's work and surrealism through fashion, psychoanalysis, maternity, and space. I use Nin's fiction and non-fiction, including her extensive diaries, and open up a dialogue with both surrealist literature and surrealist art.
