We provide full time undergraduate and postgraduate estranged students with a bursary of £1,000 per year of their academic course.

Eligibility

To be eligible students must be:

• a full time undergraduate or postgraduate taught student and
• under 25 when you started your course and
• be eligible for funding as a “home” student and
• be irreconcilably estranged from both of your biological or adoptive parents or only living parent and have been assessed by Student Finance as an independent student due to estrangement

Applications for the Estranged Student Bursary are considered on a case by case basis

We will need evidence of your estranged status with your application form. A copy of the evidence that was supplied to student Finance would be sufficient.
