On the basis of the collaborative nature of much of its work, particularly through its Networks, Centre activities are carried out by its research Fellows.
Fellows are appointed on the basis of invitation of the Director and Assistant Director. The Centre also has Associates, many of whom are legal practitioners involved in church and other forms of religious law and graduates of the LLM in Canon Law.

Over the years, the Centre has also welcomed many self-funded visiting scholars from universities across the world to study at Cardiff in the field of law and religion.
